In this short video, IMDb tries to answer: Where the hell was Batman?

After the events of «Batman» (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, tries to take over the reins of Gotham’s criminal underworld.. Except for the bat signal in the last frame of the season finale, we never got Robert Pattinson’s cameo in «The Penguin». Colin Farrell fought hard for his version of the Penguin to smoke tobacco in Batman (2022), but to no avail.

However, in his own series, the character is depicted as a casual smoker who prefers cigars. The umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo.

Featured in Graham Norton and Guests: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). I thought Colin Farrell was great as the Penguin in Batman, but I never understood how you could take a lean, handsome, toned actor and put him in massive prosthetics and a thick suit… especially when I think he looks like on some other famous actors.

But I didn’t even expect that I would like it so much

I also didn’t really understand why this spin-off came about, and to be honest, I’m just sick of Batman reboots. But after the first episode, I can confirm that this show is amazing (so far). I just watched it, knowing that it was necessary to see the bridge between the first and second films, and my unexpected pleasure from Farrell’s role in the first.

What I liked most was that there was much more color here than in Batman

The acting is amazing, the script is great, and it surprised me with some quick turns. I noticed it almost immediately, because for me it was a huge complaint about the film (it felt like I was watching it through the prism of Zack Snyder). I hope it’s just as good because I honestly can’t wait for the next episode.
