Sonic, Knuckles and Tails once again face a powerful new enemy, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they’ve ever faced before. Team Sonic’s abilities are beyond their capabilities and they must seek an unlikely alliance. Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Krysten Ritter, Colleen O’Shaughnessey and Lee Majdoub share interests that may surprise their fans. The creators of the previous films cited Sonic in Adobenchâ 2 (2001) and Shadô in Hejjihoggu (2005) as inspirations. The film is also inspired by narrative elements from the Saturday morning animated television series Sonic the Hedgehog (1993). The best writing, the best plot, great humor, and Keanu Reeves did his homework as Shadow. This film is different from the first two, most obviously in the tone of the film, this film is a mental adaptation of Sonic Adventure 2, and they did it better than I ever thought possible. Shadow’s past is portrayed hauntingly beautifully, not to mention his immaculate CGI model, I was so impressed with his appearance. Jim Carrey was hilarious as usual, an absolute treat in our franchise, he was ridiculously awesome as both Ivo and Ivo; Gerald. Ben Schwartz, Colleen & Co. Idris shined brighter than ever. As a huge Sonic fan this movie exceeded my expectations, what does it feel like to be a Sonic fan? This movie will remain a rich part of Sonic history.
